that I think the high point of the day was the bit where I said hello to my next-door neighbour, who was in her garden and looked up when she heard me trying to encourage a very stupid wasp that was buzzing hopelessly against the glass of my (first-floor) window to just fly down a bit so it could go under the window and out into the outside world.

On the other hand, I have finished writing my business case, and the committee agenda which needs to go out tomorrow. In fact, I managed to tick so many things off today's to-do list that I could write a whole new list of things on tomorrow's list (I'm experimenting with a bullet-journal-ish system of writing a daily to-do list in a small notebook and then migrating anything that isn't ticked off to the next day, rather than jotting down lists in my big notebook which get lost, or relying on my Outlook task list which tended to mean that I kept forgetting things that weren't actions resulting from emails. It seems to be working quite well so far).

Wasps in the house are the downside of this time of year, I've already had to get Kev to evict two, I'm very temped to get some sort of screen/curtain affair for the back door to stop things flying in.

I'm glad the new task list arrangement is working well for you. I'm experimenting with actually keeping a paper diary-ish notebook for the first time in ages now I have my lovely new fountain pen.

I had started using OneNote for regular meetings since getting my work laptop, though I'd never abandoned my paper notebook completely, but I have moved back to using the notebook more since buying so many new pens.

Aargh, tast lists! There must be a perfect way, and yet I can never find it. Partly because of the new tasks that keep coming in, of course...

The task-list notebook was an attempt to address the problem of being in a meeting, agreeing to do something, writing it down in my notebook and then going straight from that meeting into three more and never looking back at the notes to check what I'd agreed to do...
