I feel like I've let out a breath I had forgotten I was even holding. There's a lot to be said for not having one of the world's largest stockpiles of nuclear weapons under the control of someone with apparently no empathy, no tact and no impulse control who was constantly threatening to declare war on someone via Twitter.

Shame about the shower who are still in power on this side of the pond...

Absolutely. God, I'm still adjusting to not having those little moments of panic over HE MIGHT ACTUALLY DO A NUCLEAR WAR FOR NO REASON.

And yeah. JFC combining the pandemic with this lot of chancers was bad luck.

Yes, not listening to the news as soon as I wake up to check whether this might be the day the world ends is a delightful novelty. But I am now very jealous of the USians having a government who actually have a COVID strategy instead of cargo-cult epidemiology and having to roll back restrictions because one of their mates has broken them so they have to claim that was always allowed anyway.
