I have done lots of bits and pieces today, some of them even quite useful, but none of them very significant or sustained.

I went for a swim (about twelve and a half minutes in 4.5-degree-ish water). It was grey and drizzling when we went in, and then by the time we got out the drizzle had stopped, and the clouds melted away while we were changing so we walked back to the car park in glorious sunshine. If I could have found a sunny spot in the house to sit in I would have just spent the afternoon curled up like a cat in it, but sadly the conservatory is full of bits of defunct bookcases at the moment and no-where else really gets much sun (and anyway, it started to cloud over again quite soon), so I had to find alternatives.

I spent a bit of time reading (Seanan McGuire's Down Among the Sticks and Bones, which I'm very much enjoying, though I hadn't managed to make much progress in the last couple of days because I was so tired. (I sometimes wonder if my antidepressants make me struggle to read, but I think it's more often tiredness, and I'm more likely to be that tired when I'm depressed. And obviously I have been basically exhausted for the last ten months.)

I skeined up a bobbinful of rainbow handspun, and wound the skein I finished a few weeks ago into a ball. (I hadn't touched my spinning wheel for years, but suddenly found myself wanting to have another go.)

I sorted through my semi-abandoned knitting projects, frogged a hat I'd stalled on very soon after starting because on reflection I wasn't very keen on the colours, and rummaged through my box of part-balls of yarn to find some colours I liked better. I also found some pretty fibre in a bag with a spindle and decided to start spinning it on the wheel instead.

I made a bit of progress on the bralette I cut out last weekend, though not very much; I had thought I'd finish sewing together the bra and the matching pants, and only have the elastic edging to do tomorrow, but I still have to add the band to the bra and haven't even started on the pants. But that's OK. Even if that means I don't finish it tomorrow there's always next weekend.
