Today I have had six meetings, taking up a total of four hours of a nine-hour working day, and have also had to wrestle with our staff request approval process (eight steps from clicking the link in the notification email, including a compulsory "comment" field) not once, not twice, but three times. So it's probably no wonder I can't actually think of anything to post about. This daily posting lark is hard work. (Though I am rather enjoying it, or at least the increased engagement with people here - I've missed that, and Twitter and FB aren't the same.)

Anyway, if you'd like to ask me a question, or suggest something I could write about (if I ever find the energy), please do so in comments!

I'm not sure I have much to say about canals other than "here is another picture of the one near my house", but I could certainly try to post more pictures of it. (Actually, I need to post something about photography at some point, because it's a year now since I got my new camera and it has brought me a lot of joy in a time when there hasn't been much joy to find.)

Today has involved three hours of meetings already, with another three this afternoon, and two "please read and comment on this urgently today" things landed in my inbox. My head has the kind of frazzled trying-to-be-in-two-places-at-once feeling I used to get working in the office but have tended not to have at home.
