Walking: Begbroke and Bladon

We braved the blustery wind and intermittent showers to get out and walk just under eight miles around Begbroke and Bladon (one of our regular walks; basically this one but with an extra mile and a half at each end for the walk from our house to the official start point).

After a rainy week all the ditches were full of water, several of the fields were waterlogged and particularly in the woods there were some very muddy patches, but there was quite a bit of sunshine between the showers and it was good to get out. There was a red kite circuling up above for most of the time; we also saw two hares together as we passed Begbroke Wood and a third running across a field a bit later, and what I'm pretty sure was a skylark dropping to earth in one of the fields just outside Bladon.
