Yeah, I was really surprised the first time I listened to her - I've got such a silly hang up about feeling Scottish but not having lost my English accent that it was quite remarkable to hear someone who has embraced the country so much but still has such a strong English accent.

Mind you, thinking about it now, I was probably mostly surprised because despite spending the last 22 years in Universities, I'm struggling to think of any English academics I've met with such strong regional accents.
