Get dressed, you merry gentlefolk

Happy Christmas all. I hope you have a lovely day whether and whatever you celebrate or not.
I keep meaning to write a review of 2014, but frankly apart from my lovely 40th birthday week and the last couple of months it would just be too depressing for words; as I summed it up on Twitter, four jobs, one breakdown and one serious illness of a family member does not a year to be remembered with pleasure make. And that doesn't even take in the three months of pain from a trapped nerve in my neck (which I now suspect to be down to poor running technique and having one strap of my sports bra an inch shorter than the other, ffs) which stopped me knitting for a while (though on the upside I have been reading a lot more) or the fact that the future remains very uncertain. So maybe I won't write a review after all.
Anyway, I am currently sitting in bed listening to Radio 3 and there is ham in the very near future, so that is good. And this week I have seen Paddington, which was lovely, and listened to the excellent radio adaptation of Good Omens and the brilliant final episodes of Cabin Pressure, and watched the TV adaptation of Professor Branestawn which I very much enjoyed, and am re-reading The Children of Green Knowe, and life is currently pretty good.

Sending lots of love.
