Feb. 4th, 2021 07:35 pmIt's no good, I can't think of anything remotely interesting to say. So much for keeping up daily posts for a year. But really, what *is* there to say when every day is basically the same* (walk one of the same routes I've been walking regularly since I gave up trying to run in April, work, look out of the window at the birds, more work, dinner, collapse)? Assuming I don't want to post about the news, which I don't, because I mostly don't want to think about the news.
Still, a few cheering things have happened today.
Cheering Thing the First - Alan Garner has a new novel coming out later this year! I had assumed that Boneland would be his last.
Cheering Thing the Second - C has her first vaccine appointment tomorrow morning (and continues to do really, really well).
Cheering Thing the Third - some new yarn has arrived:

Though this is also a slightly less cheering thing as it's inspired by the EU flag and that makes me sad. I think I might make it into a hat so that it won't be hidden by a coat when I'm out and about.
* the other day I went through a gap in the hedge that runs along the towpath and walked up the edge of the fields instead, and that felt like an exciting new adventure
