Swimsuit! (198/365)

I finished making my swimsuit, and am utterly delighted with it.



I didn't find working with the slippery fabric too difficult, but I intensely disliked the clear elastic I'd got and will just use normal elastic if I make another one. (Which, let's face it, seems highly likely to happen at some point.) It ended up being a bit of a bodge, but no-one else is going to notice.

I'm looking forward to trying it out in the water tomorrow!

I think regular elastic is only affected by pool chemicals, so if you use the blue one whilst wild swimming only, you're golden. :)

While doing the cooking volunteering, we got talking about sewing and a friend who sews said she is trying to make rather than buy clothes. I mentioned your swimming costume and she is intrigued (also a cold water swimmer). Could you tell me where the pattern is from and where you got the fabric? And would you mind me showing her the photo?
