I think I must have done more socialising this week than I have done all term. As well as lunch with my former tutor on Monday, there were work Christmas lunch number 1 on Wednesday and jadesfire's housewarming party yesterday, and it was all great* and I got to spend time with lovely people and have interesting conversations and really enjoyed myself.

So obviously today I had a total people hangover and kept getting distracted from the things I'd meant to do by the temptation to play with soothing spreadsheets instead.

Next week involves a set of leaving drinks, work Christmas lunch number 2 and another party, but at least none of those things are on consecutive days so I get a bit of decompression time in between.

*well, mostly great, though I am totally side-eyeing Carluccio's giving everyone a glass of Prosecco on arrival whether they wanted it or not, and taking a good 15-20 minutes to bring any water or other alternatives.
