I would really like to come back to work after a week off and find that lots of fairly straightforward questions have been left to await my return because they weren't urgent and my team weren't entirely sure of the answers.

(On the other hand, I still prefer this to the person who called me on Teams to ask what time we were meeting tomorrow - which was in her calendar - and then followed it up with a question that could easily have waited until that meeting.)

Mostly, though, I would just like to be less attractive to horseflies, as in the last few days I have been bitten several times while getting ready to swim and my legs are really, really itchy.

However, good news of the day: C had her final oncology appointment today and has been given the all-clear!

ARGH at the Teams abuse. And horseflies. I loathe them. I got a bite on my arm a week ago, and it only just stopped itching. Why?!!

I got a bite on my foot which had just about stopped itching and then yesterday one bit me just behind one knee, then moved on to the other leg when I flapped it away, and both bites have now swelled up and are super-itchy. Why do nice things like butterflies and bees get threatened by climate change and horseflies just keep going?

Sympathy for the itching: I got bitten by something, several times, while gardening at the weekend, and my leg is really itchy too.

Sympathies! I am applying antihistamine cream regularly but it doesn't seem to be doing much.

If you aren't already, I find taking oral antihistamines as well beneficial for bites ( and the Covid jab).

Oh that is marvellous news about C, I am so pleased.

Horseflies are awful ruddy things, I seem to be lucky that my body chemistry doesn't attract them but poor Kev always gets bitten if we come across any! I hope you are less itchy asap

They are evil. My FB memories remind me that I almost always get at least one bite around this time of year...
