I have been having a vague and woolly sort of a day in which I have kept being surprised to find that it was allegedly Monday, as my brain was convinced that it was either Tuesday or a surprise extra day of the working week which followed on directly from last Friday. Given this, I thought I might have to give up on my intention to post every day after only ten days due to lacking the ability to string a coherent change of thought together. But then I remembered that I have a paid account, and that means I can post polls, so I am posting a very silly poll instead.

I know it's Monday, but only because it was Sunday yesterday. Later in the week I get more unmoored.

1997 is the year after my youngest brother was born, and I am eleven years older than my youngest brother, so today must be Blursday.

I had a very vague and woolly day today too, because I slept so badly (dog shenanigans in the middle of the night!) that I couldn't go to work today. And it's been so rainy and gray it's hard to believe it's been a day at all.

Sloth. I don't believe this requires any deep explanation. I'm slow, frequently late and bewildered by this fact, my nails always seem too long (to me at least), there may or may not be moths in my hair (though probably not algae), surprisingly I can swim, occasionally I forget where my limbs are and fall out of my tree (so to speak).

Last week we had Monday followed by four consecutive Fridays then a one day weekend which may have been either Saturday or Sunday--either way it was a shorter than an average day. (The weekend just gone was quite a long time ago, perhaps even the week before last.)

If we hadn't completed the house purchase today, I would most probably have been less certain about the day.

I used to be an owl, but I also need 8-10 hours sleep (ideally) and I now have a toddler who wakes up at 6.00-7.00 (which I know is good for a toddler!) so I've had to force myself into early bedtimes. The days are getting lighter though, so my urge to hibernate (which kicks in about the start of November) is wearing off - I love the cold clear evenings you get in late January/early February.

The intimate connection between questions #2 and #5 was not lost on me. 1997 can never be more than 10 years away, though I have no great desire to reside perpetually in 2007 either. Is a golden eagle afternoonish? I appreciate this on behalf of all the other Afternoonish people who are tired of Erasure by the warring tribes of Morning and Night.

I suspect that it's very true that anyone who immediately thinks of What Time Is Love? when considering time-related questions will still be somewhat stuck in the 90s.

2007 was a bit rubbish for me personally, but there's quite a lot to recommend the oughties from a political perspective. At least compared to now.

I'm mostly larkish but in the winter I'm really more of a dormouse, and would prefer not to be awake at all. (I don't really see much effect from the longer days until at least February, in general.)
