I had pretty much given up using my seven and a half year old iPad; it hasn't had a software upgrade in over three years and even though I only really use it for web browsing and email it had got really slow and I kept defaulting to using my phone instead. I charged it up again a few days ago, though, as I thought I would try using it to browse Yuletide when not using my laptop rather than trying to read fic on a tiny phone screen, and I discovered that actually, it seems to work perfectly well for everything apart from Twitter and Facebook. Maybe it's just trying to make a point?

I'd be inclined to agree. My 7" Samsung tablet used to go almost overdrawn on memory when I was running FB; I was having to delete (and then re-install) FB every time any other app needed to be updated! So I gave up and moved to looking at FB using the built-in browser, which works well. I don't find Twitter too bad on it, so I've left that where it is.
