Birdwatching

Big Garden Birdwatch results in our garden:

3 dunnocks
2 sparrows
2 great tits
1 blue tit
1 collared dove
1 robin

A pretty fair representation of the birdlife in our garden; I think I have seen a wren at least once and recently we have both seen a bullfinch. And I'm quite surprised we managed a whole hour without any pigeons galumphing about.

A respectable total. Despite having a bird feeder, I seem to do very poorly for birds in my garden.

My garden does lack winter cover, the more so since I had the pyracantha that was pushing over the fence taken out. Have just moved the pole slightly closer to the other fence to see if it makes any difference.

I know you know this already, but for completeness, [livejournal.com profile] adaese saw:
2 blackbirds
2 dunnock
1 robin
2 woodpigeon
2 great tit
1 magpie
2 blue tit
1 crow
(and a bumblebee, but it's the big garden birdwatch, not the big garden beewatch)

Somewhere, we've got a list of everything we have seen in the garden here ...

Seen in Dundee in the past hour:
1 seagull braving the blizzard...
