It's pretty easy to navigate, especially if you have the OS map to refer to - the only bit that's a bit tricky is remembering that you have to make roughly a 45-degree turn to your left just before the A34 bridge at Godstow, and the path across the field is a bit faint (though since we went that way last there's a new fence which the path runs alongside).
