At least we live in a cul-de-sac and have good double glazing - loud drunk people are an occasional problem in the summer but not on NYE (apart from when we had neighbours with teenage children who went away on Boxing Day leaving the teenagers on their own, which went pretty much as you'd expect).

I wanted to shout at the firework people but they were probably too far away to hear.
